Over the years I have been many things to many people.

Life is a revealing expression of metamorphises from one form of being into another.

Many may view this as a static process where the observer remains largely unchanged.
“I am still me. Always have been, always will be,” but this assersion is an illusion.
You are no more the ten-year-old-you than you are yesterdays-you.

Introduction

Many people have an inherent tendency to look at the world around them and feel like half the reason that they don’t have any personal agency is because of the rules, regulations and social norms that surround them.

The natural reaction to this is wanting to change the world so that there is, in their minds at least, a fairer distribution of personal freedoms. The freedom for anyone to be naked in public for example.

Have you ever noticed how quickly and organically trends seem to catch on? Initially there are only a handful of people doing something. The next thing you know, everyone seems to be following suit. Trends can just as rapidly die out if nobody is seen participating. Clandestine behaviour is only going to cause naturism to further fade into oblivion.

Growing up in NZ during the seventies, it wasn’t uncommon to see people skinny dipping in streams, or sun baking sans bathers at the far end of a beach. Even on many of the great tracks in more recent times, it isn’t completely out of the ordinary to see people skinny dipping in a lake or stream.
